As we enter a new decade, I thought it would be fun to propose a challenge to you all! Let’s see ONE horsey picture for each of the last ten years. For me, this challenge was two fold in 2010… I apparently HAVE NO pictures of horses taken and shared somewhere digitally. In 2019… my greatest challenge was picking just one!
Sadly… no pictures or meida saved for this year. Ugh. Instead, here’s a pic of a horse I rode around that time and throughout the late 2000s!
Uh again… I failed a bit here. But I have a ton of REALLY SUB-PAR video. ENJOY!
Whew… finally have some appropriate media here, since, in 2012, I graduate college and bought a horse! Who knew having a gray would be so brutal. This is the only photo I have of him that year.
We started showing! It was a mostly frustrating process with him, but he was still the absolute cutest.
We moved to an eventer barn, which I had been hoping would be a better fit for both of us. Initially, it seemed like it was going to make a huge difference.
In 2015, it became apparent that both of us were miserable. Winston found a new home (who found him an EVEN BETTER HOME), and I got Ms. May!
May and I hit our groove pretty quickly in 2016, and we entered our first couple of BN events! Buuuut in the fall we moved to KY.
2017 feels like the lost year of riding to me. Due to my job at the time and getting married in the summer, May was mostly on the back burner. Good thing she was perfectly happy with that.
We moved to a new barn and reentered the show ring! This is when it started to really be fun again, and I got the itch to show more.
And here we are today. Back at BN and better then ever in a barn we love and a coach who is fully invested in our success! (and wearing a tutu)
